Fully Automated

Warmzone’s radiant snow melting systems are fully automated. The system relies on an advanced snow sensor, contactor panel and ClearZone heating element. The aerial or pavement mounted snow sensor detects precipitation as well as temperature. If precipitation is detected and the temperature is below the adjustable set point (typically set at 38°Fahrenheit), the sensor sends a signal to the master controller and power is then sent to the ClearZone heat resistance cable embedded in the driveway.

The system activates only when needed. The driveway warms just as the snowstorm hits and then shuts off afterwards. However, it remains on for a short time to dry the driveway so that ice does not form after each storm. The activation device also features manual override capability so the system can be turned on to melt ice that may have formed due to wind or runoff.

Easy on the Environment

Warmzone radiant heat systems operate cleanly and silently, on renewable energy. Radiant heated driveways eliminate the need for salt and other snow melting chemicals that destroy surrounding grass and vegetation, and result in hazardous runoff.
